Kim Purcell is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters of Social Work. She has over 22 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Kim has experience conducting individual and group therapy within the school system - assessing the needs of children and adolescents. She has also worked with parents, helping them through the challenges of parenting children and adolescents.
Kim uses a systemic approach to working with children, adolescents, adults and families taking into account all the systems involved with the individuals. She uses a number of therapeutic strategies and models in her work with clients (e.g., solution focused, brief therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and mindfulness approaches). Kim has experience treating adults, children and adolescents who are struggling with Anxiety, relationships, parenting practices, anger management, grief/loss, and separation and divorce. She also has experience facilitating a groups for children and adults including: anger management, social skills, ADHD, mindfulness and Anxiety.
